Enhancing Partnership Competency: Reaching Out to Community Members

This 2-day workshop is for individuals active in community substance abuse prevention efforts. The workshop is designed to enhance a partnership's ability to include all segments of the community in collaborative prevention efforts.

Learning Objectives

The objectives are:
  1. find ways to involve all sectors of the community in collaborative prevention efforts;

  2. describe your current model for including others in prevention and what a change would mean;

    3.  
  3. identify barriers to involving new people in community prevention; and

    4.  
  4. describe how coalitions and partnerships can keep all sectors of the community involved.
