This section allows teams to explore their partnership's prevention philosophy
and to apply the information presented in the previous session to their
plans for their partnership. Since a large amount of material was covered
in the previous session, this time is also focused on making sure the whole
team understood the material.
Learning Objectives
Partnership teams will be able to:
Apply relevant concepts from prevention research to their partnership.
Understand the historical context of the development of their partnership
as it relates to prevention research.
Develop a shared definition of prevention.
Linkages with Preceding and Following Sessions
This session gives participants an opportunity to apply the concepts and
research findings presented in the previous session. It helps form a prevention
philosophy that will be used as a part of the planning process throughout
the Institute.
