Community Partnership Institute

This 5-day Institute is for partnerships founded to involve their communities in planning and developing comprehensive, long-term prevention strategies. This basic institute is for partnerships in the early stages of development. It supports capacity building and empowerment at the team, partnership, and community level.

Learning Objectives

The objectives for partnership teams include:
  1. help partnerships review needed changes;

    2.  
  2. involve the community in identifying problems, implementing strategies, and evaluating outcomes;

    3.  
  3. inform others about current prevention strategies;

    4.  
  4. help their partnerships mobilize groups to develop prevention efforts, analyze their environments, and evaluate their level of multicultural awareness;

    5.  
  5. provide organizational development resources; and

    6.  
  6. assist other groups in developing an effective prevention strategy.
