Open Space: Leadership of Partnerships/Community Coalitions

This workshop is for leaders of partnerships and coalitions, principal investigators, project directors, and program chairpersons. The workshop uses a process that requires participants to become actively involved in the planning and facilitation of small group sessions on various leadership issues. Participants are encouraged to come with ideas for topic groups and with materials that they can share with others.

Learning Objectives

The objectives are:
 
  • create and participate in a learning community;

    •  
  • generate and share options for working within your community on leadership;

    •  
  • understand the validity of all learning styles, perspectives, and cultural backgrounds; and

    •  
  • create specific processes for assessing and developing alternative leadership strategies to use in your coalition or partnership.
