Community Economic Development:Planning for Change, Part 2

This 1-day workshop is for community leaders, policymakers, program directors, community organizers, and other change agents. It builds on the theories and approaches discussed in Part 1. This course focuses on choosing a strategy for community economic development.

Learning Objectives

The objectives are:
 
  1. assess your community's readiness for economic development;

    2.  
  2. understand the resources needed and available for different community economic development approaches;

    3.  
  3. select an approach appropriate to your partnership or coalition; and

    4.  
  4. prepare a workplan for getting started back home.
