Institute for African American Mobilization (IAMM)
This Institute is for African-American community leaders, community members,
partnership staff, and volunteers. It is intended to facilitate African-American
inclusion, mobilization, community development, and empowerment. The IAAM
has two parts: (1) a 4-day training institute, and (2) a 4-part community
mobilization series.
Learning Objectives
The objectives are: (1) increase cultural and interdisciplinary competence
in working with African-American communities; (2) increase African-American
community involvement in prevention planning; (3) support the development
of African-American leaders; (4) conduct culturally consistent organizational
development training; and (5) develop plans for community implementation.
