Guidelines for Prevention: Health
Care Reform in Action
This four-phase program is for health maintenance organizations and hospitals. The program uses the framework of prevention practice guidelines to provide customized services to health care delivery systems. Phase I involves a 2- to 4-hour meeting, Phase II involves an assessment that takes 30 minutes to 4 hours per person, and Phase III involves a 4-hour action planning training.
The objectives are: (1) determine the level of substance abuse prevention activity within your organization and identify which strategies, activities, and policies are feasible; and
(2) develop a comprehensive action plan.
